Speaker: Dr. Ma. Mercedes T. Rodrigo
Abstract:
For the last 13 years, the Ateneo Laboratory for the Learning Sciences (ALLS) has been using learning analytics to better understand how students learn, behave, and feel in order to improve learning outcomes and the learning experience as a whole. In this talk, ALLS head Dr. Rodrigo will share some of the insights that she and her students have discovered about what prompts students to use taglish, working alone vs. working in pairs, and the benefits of taking breaks, among others. She will also discuss current work in informal learning within museums.
