Abstract:
The COVID-19 Pandemic has brought about a number of mental health concerns. In this presentation, Dr. Hechanova will share their experience in enabling resilience for those affected by the pandemic. She will share the profile of clients in a mental health support website called Katatagan Online of the Psychological Association of the Philippines. The presentation will include the concerns and initial feedback from participants and facilitators of Katatagan Online. Dr. Hechanova will discuss the challenges and prospects for the online delivery of mental health support in the Philippines.

Dr. Hechanova is a Psychologist and Professor, Department of Psychology, Ateneo de Manila University. She is the Project leader of Katatagan Online and the Chief of Party of USAID RenewHealth. Her research Interests include Mental Health, Organization Development, Community Psychology, Disasters and Substance Use.
